How many packs of hair should I use on my child for their braids?Updated 3 days ago

For children between the ages 2-10 years old we suggest purchasing 3, 16" Single Packs of Dosso Beauty's Non-toxic Braiding Hair for their install of box braids, cornrows and twists. 3 packs will be more than enough if you're looking for the length of their braids to come past their shoulders. Our hair is already pre-stretched but if you want to create an even shorter look you can cut the hair and brush it before install to feather the ends for a natural look. 3 packs should do the trick for the install as well as a touch up!

Pro Tips: 

1. Use Dosso Beauty's Braid Shampoo in between appointments to cleanse your child's braids and scalp from dirt, sweat and debris. Use a stocking cap to place over their braids to avoid extreme fuzziness and use the braid shampoo to add the product to their scalp, add water and lather/massage the product in. Rinse the product out with warm water and sit the client under the overhead dryer for 20 minutes to dry their braids.
2. A small trick to ensure that their ends don't unravel you can tie a small knot towards the ends of the braid twice!
